The Caregivers Edition of the Book of Hope is part of the Freedom Family Collection, and is specifically designed for caregivers of children who have a parent in prison. This book is designed to help the caregiver address the specific needs of the child(ren) in their care, as well as their needs as the primary caregiver. From feelings of fear, shame, and loneliness to dealing with social stigma and advice on how to find help, this edition seeks to provide an easy-to-follow guide that assists the caregiver in identifying and addressing his or her needs and the needs of the child(ren) in their care. It suggests resources and gives tips on letter writing, visiting prison and calling the incarcerated parent while combining the Gospel with contemporary stories that relate to the heartfelt needs of the caregiver, too.
