Before Dark is a film produced by Toy Gun Films. It is set in Africa where there is prevalent violence due to the rise of child soldiers. The film is a retrospect narrative of the main character, a minister who is a reformed child soldier. The story takes a look at children who are orphaned by their natural parents, children who are forced to act violently toward non-soldiers, and the depravity that is the catalyst to the onslaught of this violence. The theme and main point of the film is to reveal hope of redemption to teens to illustrate that their past does not have to determine their future success and purpose, no matter how dark it may be.
