In November 2012, OneHope completed a research project with the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) to evaluate the status of youth ministry throughout Europe based on four critical areas: win, build, equip and multiply. Bulgaria was selected to participate in this pilot program. The research revealed that 38% of youth ministry workers in Bulgaria are volunteers, 34% are part-time, unpaid staff, 14% are full-time, paid staff, 7% are part-time, paid staff and 7% are full-time, unpaid staff. Additionally, 85% of participants reported working for church ministries and much smaller percentage (15%) reported working for para-church ministry.
