In May 2013, OneHope completed a research project with the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) to evaluate the status of youth ministry throughout Europe based on four critical areas: win, build, equip and multiply. Belgium was selected to participate in this pilot program. Research revealed that 37% of youth ministry workers in Belgium are volunteers, 27% are part-time, unpaid staff and 15% are full-time, paid staff. Additionally, 71% of participants reported working for church ministries and 23% reported working for para-church ministry. Also of note, 59% of workers report having a strategy for youth evangelism compared to 41% that don’t.
