Designed for very early readers or children with low literacy levels, the Embera Tado Storying Edition of the Book of Hope is an illustrated storybook designed to accompany a showing of the animated film The GodMan. Even with low literacy levels, students are able to understand the pictures and simple text that introduce creation, original sin and the life of Jesus. Additionally, a “Storyteller’s Script” allows those who can read to tell the story in more detail to their friends and family. In addition to the story text and pictures, there are also critical thinking questions at the bottom of each page for the storyteller to ask the children, plus the salvation message and prayer at the end.
