English Counter Culture
The component of discernment - of understanding culture, its messages, and their implications - is a difficult but necessary discipline of the Christian life. Using examples from pop culture, Counter Culture is designed to teach teenagers how to understand fundamental questions each individual is asking, to identify the answers Scripture offers, and to discern the answers the broader culture offers instead. Students are prompted to create their own content and share it on social media to demonstrate the outcomes of the curriculum. It can be used in a small group setting and includes a Facilitator's Guide with further elaboration points.
